Bruce Willard Scholarship Fund

Up to two $2000.00 scholarships will be awarded this year to an applicant improving their skill level to work in an agricultural or natural resource field through college, trade school or vocational training.  Filing a complete application is one of the judging criteria: including a photo.

The application period for 2025 is now open. Applications are due no later than May 31, 2025 via email to Camron King.

About the Bruce Willard Scholarship

Bruce Willard was born July 24, 1935, in Oakfield, Wisconsin and lived in Homer Alaska since 1946. He was a true Alaskan. He homesteaded with his wife Linda in 1959, was a commercial fisherman, big game guide, company commander of the local National Guard, a longshoreman and a cattle rancher. He was on the board of directors of the Alaska Farm Bureau and a strong supporter of Alaska agriculture.
