Community Gardening and Food Preservation Workshops – Hughes

Join Alaska Tribes Extension for two free workshops on Thursday, June 5.
From 4-5 p.m., Anja Maijala will discuss how to design a community garden, and plan out the garden to grow enough food for the community.
From 5-6 p.m., Maijala will lead a free overview of food preservation techniques such as pressure canning, water bath canning, freezing, dehydrating and fermenting.
The classes will be held at the Hughes Tribe Building.
