If you live in Eagle Village, Alaska, come join this free hands on workshop hosted by Eagle Tribe and The Alaska Tribes Extension Program at the Eagle Tribal Hall from 4pm-6pm on Wednesday February 26th. In this workshop we will provide a basic introduction to vegetable gardening, learn about vegetable varieties for Interior Alaska, garden planning, seed starting and planting timelines, season extension techniques, and container gardening. We will also discuss how to improve your soils to grow bigger and better vegetables through learning the basics of soil sampling, how to address any important missing nutrients, different composting techniques and composting best practices.
