Project Coordinator and Bookkeeper
This is a 75% to 100% full-time equivalent position that reports directly to the KALI Executive Director through at least September 30, 2026. Continued employment is dependent on available funding.. Salary and Benefits are commensurate with KALI personnel policies and qualifications of candidate.
Qualifications
• Understands and supports KALI’s mission to support the long-term sustainability of our region’s coastal
communities of Alutiiq Heritage.
• At least 2 years demonstrated experience in project support.
• At least 2 years demonstrated bookkeeping experience. Experience working with Quickbooks a plus.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Demonstrated skills with Microsoft platforms such as excel and word.
• Kodiak resident with connection to Kodiak’s rural communities preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Coordinate assigned aspects of specific projects, including:
• Primary coordinator for the Qik’rtaq Foodhub, including invoicing, deliveries, and reporting.
• Assist with project activities as needed.
• Maintain good working relationships with grant partners and coworkers
• Provide coordination support for specific tasks or events across teams
• Assist in maintaining KALI’s digital tools (Facebook, MailChimp, Monday.com, Dropbox, etc.)
• Support other special projects, as they are developed
2. Perform work as KALI’s primary bookkeeper in keeping with KALI’s stated protocols, including:
• Accounts receivable.
• Accounts payable.
• Payroll
• Account reconciliations with oversight from Executive Director
• Prepare quarterly federal, local, and state tax reports & payments
• Manage online financial platforms.
• Perform Post Office runs
• Pull requested accounting reports.
• Assist in budget creation and reporting.
• Maintain physical & electronic accounting records.
3. Other duties as may be assigned.

The position’s primary place of work is the KALI office in Kodiak, Alaska.
