The Upper Lynn Canal Food System Strategist works closely with Ecotrust teammates,Tribes and community partners in Upper Lynn Canal Communities (Haines, Deishu, Klukwan, and Skagway) to identify, prioritize, and implement local food and community resilience projects.  This position works collaboratively to both lead and support projects prioritizing community food resiliency, traditional foods sovereignty, and entrepreneurial collaborations between community organizations, tribal entities, private businesses and state and federal agencies. This position will work to strengthen community and organizational partnerships across the Upper Lynn canal region, through networking, asset mapping, and strategic planning and implementation for the Lynn Canal Food Web. This position will collaborate with other Ecotrust staff across the bioregion, especially the SSP Food Systems Catalyst and Local Foods Coordinator in Juneau, AK. This position will work collaboratively across program teams at Ecotrust to contextualize Upper Lynn Canal food systems and partnership development work within the organization, its mission, and to cross-pollinate mission-aligned community projects with other Ecotrust teams.
